Florida and National NENA needs your help! As many of you are probably aware, National NENA is in Orlando June 14 – 19 this year. NENA staff looks forward to working with us and our FL volunteers to make the conference one of our best! As the hosting State, we have a responsibility to fill volunteer slots for the conference. As your 1st VP, I have the role/responsibility of Volunteer Coordinator with National. There are many opportunities from Preparation (set-up and bag stuffing) to Tour Bus coordination to Training Session check ins. With each Volunteer slot, the hours are reciprocal. Please see the attached FAQ and opportunities for volunteering. As you will see we need as many volunteers as we can get!
Please find attached the following six (6) volunteer items:

Today we lost a very special member of our 911 Family, Pat Welte, Duval County 911 Coordinator. Pat was an exceptional woman who was passionate about the 911 industry and for the people with whom she worked. She was one of the longest active serving 911 Coordinator in the State of Florida with over 30 years. Pat carried a wealth of historical knowledge of the 911 industry and was always willing and happy to share information with anyone who was willing to listen. Pat touched many lives here in Florida and the industry and she will be missed by all of us.
Over the next couple of weeks, her family will be making necessary arrangements. If you would like to make a donation to assist the family with this effort, please visit the go fund me site. Gofundme.com/Pat-Welte-Duval-911-Coordinator
